The Prisoner of El Harrach
And the long journey through Sahara
The story of Arturo Campandia is a five-book series that tells the tales of a trek over three continents. In book 2 Arturo takes his gift to distant lands with the intent to help save a close friend. But as time passes and Arturo matures, it becomes evident to Arturo that his good health and vitality, in contrast to others, will become suspect to even his friends.
What solution will he choose? Does he concoct a viable story? Does he leave his friends and family behind, and isolate himself? Or are there bigger concerns in the world than his own well-being? Follow Arturo as compounding evidence leads him to a conclusion that he never suspected in his wildest imaginations.
How far is a person required to go for the welfare of his fellow man? At what point is a man allowed to cut and break to save his own skin? For that matter, when is it perfectly reasonable to let the next man go into that battle while you enjoy that well-earned rest? In book II Arturo’s commitment to selfless honor is brought to the test.
Arturo and his companions plunge themselves into a mission to free a comrade from prison, that will otherwise leave him to a torturous end. But they never imagined that their exit strategy would be a hundred times more challenging than the simple prison break itself. Join the boys as they venture into a world that will cause them to question God himself for creating such a blistering, hellish place. But who could have guessed, that on such a journey they would also discover breathtaking beauty?
